Harare City’s only win in the fixture came through newly signed Ian Mashumba who beat Innocent Zinhu on Board 6. To attest to the fixture’s intensity, the other 3 games were drawn. Vitalis Mapuranga shared spoils with Chivinda Dee on Board 2 while Bismark Bhobhojani settled for a draw against Tinashe Chinanga on Board 4. Pledge Kwaramba held onto a draw against Farai Hamandishe on Board 5 to complete the upset.
